The press conference was led by Thawatchai Damrong-Aungtrakul, head coach of the Thailand U23 national team, along with the head coaches of Myanmar and Timor-Leste.
At the press conference, Coach Wang said, "Hello to all the media. First of all, I have to admit that I am a newbie. I just got the opportunity to coach the Thailand U23 team for the first time. But of course, I am confident in the potential of the players in this team, including the spirit in all the players, that we have the potential to win this championship and bring it back to our home country."
"For some players in this team, many of them have experience playing for the senior Thai national team. The reason they are playing in this category is because they are still of the right age. I hope they will bring the quality and experience they have gained from the senior Thai national team to help the team in this tournament, as well as other tournaments that will follow, including the Asian Championship, qualifiers, and the SEA Games."
"I admit that in the past, we had little time to prepare the team. However, many players in this team have been working together for a long time, both in previous tournaments.
