Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, 27, is still waiting for clarity about his future after deciding to reject a big offer from a big-spending Saudi Arabian team as he still dreams of joining Barcelona and is willing to take a pay cut to make the deal happen.
According to reports from English and Spanish media, Rashford is not in Manchester United's plans for the new era and is ready to pave the way for him to move out of Old Trafford immediately. There are many big clubs interested, one of which is Barcelona, who have named the England striker as one of their main targets if they miss out on Luis Diaz.
Mundo Deportivo recently reported that despite a Saudi Arabian team offering Rashford a staggering salary of around €40 million per year, he has chosen to reject it as he is still waiting for a serious offer from Barcelona and is ready to negotiate a lower salary so that the Catalan giants can register under La Liga's financial restrictions.
The deal could come in the form of a loan with an option to buy for around 30-40 million euros, which would help Barca manage their salary cap quota more easily. However, Hansi Flick's team is not rushing to conclude the deal because they still have to organize the financial structure to '1:1' according to La Liga rules, after recently missing out on a target like Nico Williams.
Marcus Rashford himself wants to have his future cleared up as soon as possible so he can have time to prepare for pre-season with his new team from the beginning. Barca will start training on Monday before heading out on tour abroad on July 24. If the deal goes through in time, he hopes to use the pre-season to quickly adjust and show his best form immediately.( shovespin )
